Taylor Swift’s Re-Recorded ‘Love Story’ Is Here Just in Time for Valentine’s Day.
We got uninterested in waiting, wondering if Taylor Swift’s re-recorded songs were ever coming around. Our faith in her was fading — until Friday (Feb. 12).
After announcing in 2019 that she plans to re-record her first six albums — following the acquisition of her master recordings by Scooter Braun — Swift unveiled “Love Story (Taylor’s Version),” fittingly just days before Valentine Day .
She first teased the remake of the 2008 Fearless cutin December, with a snippet featured in a billboard for dating site Match.com written by Ryan Reynolds.
Upon announcing “Love Story” on Thursday’s morning America, Swift also revealed that she has re-recorded Fearless as Fearless (Taylor’s Version), featuring “6 never-before-released songs from the vault.”
While she didn’t officially announce the discharge date of the re-recorded version of Fearless, strange capitalizations in her note spell out “April 9th”; Billboard has confirmed with Swift’s rep that April 9 is that the release date for the re-recorded album.
“When i feel back on the Fearless album and every one that you simply turned it into, a totally involuntary smile creeps across my face,” Swift wrote during a note to fans. “This was the musical era during which numerous inside jokes were created between us, numerous hugs exchanged and hands touched, numerous unbreakable bonds formed. So before I say anything , let me just say that it had been a true honor to urge to be an adolescent alongside you.”
